Jo and his wife Dot were married for 57 years. Dot passed away September 5, 2011 with Jo, her sons and her grand children by her side.

After Dot passed away their son Jake took him in to live with he and his wife. They took very good care of him but he had Alzheimer's and developed pneumonia and went to the hospital. He fought hard but god had better plans for him. On March 11, 2013 god called him to heaven. It was 11 days shy from his 81st birthday.

I miss both of my grandparents equally. Not a day goes by that I don't miss them and want to call them up for advice or to hear a story about the old times. They both were the kind of people that would give you the shirt off their backs, their last meal so that you wouldn't go without. I was so blessed to call them grandparents. I love and miss you so much Grandma and Papa, I will see you one sweet glorious day.

Thank you everyone for reading about my memories of my grandpa. Words can't describe how amazing he was.

XO
Jessica
